Abstract
The Sangam age in Tamil Nadu has never
been equal for men and women in the eyes of literature, it has always been
dominant in the eyes of men. There are very few women poets who have broken
myths and made a permanent mark in Tamil Sangam literature. Various and diverse
literary works in the whole history from the beginning to the middle of the
20th century. It is very much liked and appreciated by women as a way of
expressing their feelings and emotions. The article talks about the historical
thoughts of women from the Sangam age to the 21st century and the role of women
in Tamil literature. Love and lust are the two eyes of culture. Women of social
background, who gave life to hard work and discipline, lived a happy life with
their parents and friends in their youth. The following article will discuss
the status of women in the Sangam age and the status of women in the modern
age.
